The sensitivity for each magnification level can also be adjusted in the settings. This determines the speed at which the camera moves while aiming. There are options for 1.4x, 2.5x, 3.0x, 5.0x, 6.0x and 10.0x, all of which can be found in weapons that allow you to zoom in or aim down.
For higher magnification levels, you may want to set the sensitivity a little slower. This can come in handy on larger Big Team Battle maps if you like playing as a sniper. Slower, more stable aiming sensitivity can make it much easier to fire headshots from long ranges.
Players can also adjust the sensitivity of the dead zone and make other small tweaks that can have a dramatic effect on how Halo Infinite plays. However, most gamers will just benefit from using a sensitivity level that is comfortable for them and the right button layout.
Halo Infinite Controller Settings: Adjust the field of view
This isn’t really a Halo Infinite controller setting, but it’s more of an extra tip that can potentially help you with your game. Increasing your in-game field of view (or FOV for short) can change the game in hot Halo Infinite Multiplayer matches. To do this, simply go to the Videos submenu in Settings.
The default field of view is 78 degrees and represents your character’s cone of vision on the screen. The default view, however, is quite narrow, and you’ll be able to see much more of the action on the screen, even slightly increasing the FOV slider.
Try increasing the field of view to anywhere between 90 and 100 degrees, which is our preferred setting. This will move the foreground further away, allowing a much wider and higher view range from your perspective.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Increasing the field of view can cause an occasional drop in performance (although this should rarely be a problem on both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S). Worse, higher FOVs may not be ideal if you are prone to motion sickness. Extremely wide viewing angles can also result in a distorted, fishy effect on the screen that doesn’t look quite realistic or attractive.
A lower field of view will solve these problems, but it will make less peripheral vision immediately visible. A higher FOV can allow you to spot opponents earlier and generally make you more aware of your surroundings. Experiment again to see what works best for you.
